Brandon Robinson, a writer, pianist, and hobby game board designer (haven't got one published yet) is interested in places and spaces where people can rest and recover.

Most of us are caught up in the daily grind of the struggle for material welfare. And I agree, I like having a roof over my head, food on the table, and Netflix on my television. And a person can certainly ask, what is life without comfort, pleasure, fun, and happiness? But then, I also wonder, what is life without understanding, passion, vision, and inspiration? My internal welfare is just as important as my material welfare. My internal life is the background, the bass clef, which harmonizes the craziness of the foreground, the treble clef activity and events of the day. I, and we, need a rich internal life. And crashing in front of a TV at the end of the day just doesn’t nourish a person’s heart. So I hope my music and writing and creativity can provide you with a moment of rest, a time of peace, and a touch of inspiration.

Maximum Glory was originally the title of a podcast I was preparing, which featured an adventure show (designed in the format of the classic Top Gear show which had Jeremy Clarkson, James May, and Richard Hammond) in a medieval fantasy universe. I got twenty six episodes written, then I got COVID and never recovered the motivation to record. And life moved on.

Let us close on a principle.
We must stop rushing around the normal routine, and look beneath the surface.

Beneath the surface is the mind world. Beneath the surface is the heart world. This is the place where shimmering starlight wanders through shadowed forests. The place were words and actions strengthen and enrich lives, instead of just getting us through the day. We have to move beyond function, and economy, and routine, and stress, and want, and enjoyment, and comfort. We have to find the lonely beaches, where the white sand shimmers beneath the silver moon, and the fathomless sea whispers to us of the rich depths life can know, and the glorious heights it can attain. Everyday we wake up, and we drink our coffee, and we step into the wild landscape of the surface world, and we resolve its questions and we satisfy its demands and we try to improve its circumstances...but it is not necessarily where we live.
